Description

1936 Olympics Commemorative Porcelain Bank. Good looking item that is produced in white porcelain in the shape of a bell. There is a slot in the top for coins to be inserted. It measures approximately 4” high and 4” at the bottom) 100mm tall and 100mm across the bottom of the bell. One side features the motto of the Olympic games in Berlin, the upright eagle clutching the Olympic rings in its talons. The other side features a facsimile view of the stadium. Script around the circumference of the bottom of the bell reads “11. Olympische Spiele Berlin 1.-16. August 1936”. Also seen between the script are leaves and two swastikas. The bottom identifies the maker. Excellent condition. LH5528
