Battle Flag from The Prinz Eugen Cruiser.
This piece was taken by Richard R. Missessey from the ship while it was in U.S. possession in late 1945. The battle cruiser was awarded to the United States after the war and was the only major German ship to survive WW2. You can google the ship and find a lot of info on the web.
The flag itself is wool and in excellent condition with no holes or mothing. I have had more than my fair share of these over the years in different sizes and this one is correct and texbook. The size is 30 by 54 inches. Bright vibrant colors. An important original piece of history. This comes with a signed statement from the vet from 1992.
