German-Made M-1895 South African (Transvaal Republic) Second Boer War Belt Buckle. Clean brass-based example used from 1899 to 1901 in excellent condition. A quantity never reached South Africa and were purchased by Francis Bannerman in the US as surplus for sale to collectors in the 1920s to 1930s
