Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge by C.E. Juncker with Screwback Fitting. This is an early tombac piece that has been period converted into a screwback version by neatly filing off the reverse fittings and adding a central screw fitting and nut. The heat from the torch during this process affected the weakest part of the metal during this procedure it would seam and slightly deformed one arm of the swastika. The original owner of this piece scratched his initials into it at the back of the nickel wreath. If only this one could talk. LH5805 OHJ
