Nordholz Naval Airbase ID Tag. This piece measures 5.5 by 3.6cm and is Kriegsmarine proofed and numbered. This base was used by the Luftwaffe from 1938 and had Messerschmitt Bf 109E fighters stationed at the airfield as well as Heinkel He 111 medium bombers and between January and April of 1945 had the honor of hosting the Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet rocket powered fighter.
