Order of the German Eagle 1st Class, by “900 21”- Godet – in Case. The Order of Merit of the German Eagle, was instituted May 1st 1937, and awarded by Hitler to foreign nationals who had made a meritorious military services to the German Reich. Multi piece construction of 900 silver with fire gilding and fine enamels. Marked 900 for silver content and 21 for Godet of Berlin the prominent Medals and Order maker of the era, complete with original issue case, marked on the inside of the lid, the overall set in excellent condition. Marked “900 21” on the ribbon ring. 60 by 50m – decoration and the case is 180 by 140 mm and 30mm thick. 56mm long original ribbon plus 44mm of ribbon ties. The ribbon is displayed backwards in the photos.  A really nice example. (7509br)
